Lucy Liu, an American voice actress producer director and singer is also an outstanding actor. Lucy Liu is an attractive and intelligent actor. A lot of Asian actors aspiring to be major starlets in Hollywood look up to Lucy Liu. Her fame was boosted by a number of popular early characters in television series. The most notable was The Ally McBeal series, where she played Ling Woo the villainous character. The new fame she gained was translated into roles that were filmed on the large screen, in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels as well as other movies. She then delivered a superlative performance in the role of Japanese crime lord O-Ren Ishii as QT's Kill Bill Volume 1. In addition, she played lead characters in failed box office films such as Rise: Blood Hunter. She then began to voice characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small screen parts, did not achieve much success. Southland was a critically acclaimed series of police dramas which featured Liu in recurring roles, helped her reestablish her status as a performer. Liu takes great care in choosing her roles to ensure she doesn't get typecast. Although she's embraced the roots of her family, she hasn't let it limit her as an artist.
