Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 at Locust Ridge Tenn. She lived alongside 12 other kids. Her imaginative mind helped her escape from the harsh realities of everyday life. She was writing songs before she learned to write or read. The guitar that she first received was presented to her at the age of eight. She started singing at the Knoxville Tenn station by the age of eleven. The that same time, Gold Band Records was a tiny independent record label. In high school She made her mark in the local community, yet she yearned for a larger stage. When she was graduating in 1964, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first record to chart on Monument Records. At about this time Porter Wagoner was looking for a new girl singer for the show he had syndicated to television. Parton accepted the role in 1966, joined RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. In 1974, she quit Wagoner's show due to the commercial success of her own songs such as Joshua Coats Of Many Colors or Jolene was way ahead of their joint release. Parton was a part of the group that split after the end of their collaboration with Wagoner, wrote"I'll Always Be Loved" by You and had it reach Number. 1. for the first time since 1974.
